A book is a set or collection of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of paper, parchment, or other material, usually fastened together to hinge at one side. A single sheet within a book is called a leaf, and each side of a leaf is called a page. A book produced in electronic format is known as an e-book.

Books may also refer to a literature work, or a main division of such a work. In library and information science, a book is called a monograph, to distinguish it from serial periodicals such as magazines, journals or newspapers. The body of all written works including books is literature.

In novels, a book may be divided into several large sections, also called books (Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, etc).

A lover of books is usually referred to as a bibliophile, a bibliophilist, or a philobiblist, or, more informally, a bookworm.

A store where books are bought and sold is a bookstore or bookshop. Books can also be borrowed from libraries.

A. The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult When Daniel Stone was a child, he was the only white boy in a native Eskimo village where his mother taught, and he was teased mercilessly because he was different. He fought back, the baddest of the bad kids: stealing, drinking, robbing and cheating his way out of the Alaskan bush where he honed his artistic talent, fell in love with a girl and got her pregnant. To become part of a family, he reinvented himself jettisoning all that anger to become a docile, devoted husband and father. Fifteen years later, when we meet Daniel again, he is a comic book artist. His wife teaches Dante s Inferno at a local college; his daughter, Trixie, is the light of his life and a girl who only knows her father as the… [cont.]

I need help finding a book on how to survive and snake/bird species identification?
Q. I'm a survival enthusiast and i love nature. I'm going to see if i can survive without any help or supplies, like food in the mountains of kentucky. I want a survival book to help me out and i just want the identification books for fun. It'd be nice to have as accurate a book as possible, i mean for the location, because obviously a desert survival book won't help much.

What are some good books for 8th graders to do a book report on?
Q. The book needs to be at least 120 pages long (I don't have a lot of extra time, so I would like the amount of pages not to be more than 120 (maybe a little bit longer, but not to much). I've read a lot of classics already so please don't mention those kinds of stories. I want to read more recent stories. I have 8 book reports this year, so you can mention as many titles as you want. Thanks!
