1991 Honda Accord speedometer and odometer not working?
Q. I have a 1991 Honda Accord LS. The speedometer and odometer keep on going on and off. They could work for miles and then suddenly stop working for miles. The Green Sports light is flashing on the dashboard. Can someone help me.

A. Uh no it runs from the transmission in through the firewall and into the gauge cluster you can go to a junk yard and pick up one for 15-20 bucks you might want to check and see if it did come loose from the trans if it didn't go to the junkyard and get a little practice taking one off another car not yours that way when you go to take yours apart you will know where the screws are and you don't break any thing

A. I replaced the 6x9's in my girlfriend's 1993 Accord EX a week ago and they said 15w on the back, but I believe that's peak not RMS. They're probably more like 7.5w or so RMS. If you're on the stock radio, you're definately not going to see more than that 15w at the speakers, so if you want to take full advantage of new speakers you need to get a new head unit and an amplifier for the speakers. Though even just a new head unit would be a good improvement.

A. you window regulator is most likely broken. do you hear anything? if it sounds like its popping then, it broken. if it sounds normal, the window could have fallen off of the track. either way you will need to take the interior panel off the door to inspect if further.

A. It can be done yourself. I'm guessing you bought the car with the stereo already in it. The big question, is the previous owner, did they cut and splice wires, or use an adapter to hook-up the stereo. With the year of the vehicle it's iffy. If there was a connector harness available, it makes it much more easy to remove. You will need to remove the center console cover. It should have 4 screws holding it. Two on top, and two on bottom. This cover is what the Alpine is installed in. On some of the Accords, you might even have to remove the console where the shifter is. Q. I just replaced the VSS on my 1991 Honda Accord but the green S light is still blinking. That's the sensor that's mounted on the transmission. Q. mileage is about the same (150K for honda, 125K for rodeo), accord will need new tires and exhaust system prior to being inspected. izuzu will have inspection paid for, good for 1 year. i'm just trying to think long term.

Q. i found some guy selling a 1991 Honda accord. the inside is nice and the engine seems good. it had high mileage around 150,000 but they recently did an engine swap. i drove it around and it didn't jerk nor vibrate. there asking for 1000.00 $. should i buy it? by the way thats all i have on me lol.

Does the tension bolt for the timing belt on a 1991 Honda Accord loosen or come off?
Q. I recently had a friend that is a "Car Guy" check to see if it needed to be changed. He couldn't get the bolt off (loose), in fact broke two socket wrenches trying. The book didn't seem to help. (Chiltons) So he slipped the belts off, the timing and the balance something or other belt, inspected them then slipped them back on. I have owned an older Honda when the timing belt goes... So bad! I just don't think the belts should slip on and off without stretching or tearing. Now the car seems to be winding constantly, but from the wheels? Am I crazy, he says I am loosing my mind. The car has 356,000 miles on it, but she runs great, and looks super. Is my chick taking a slip?

1991 Honda Accord cooling fan stays on all the time, Why?
Q. When the engine is cold or hot, the fan is always running. Disconnect the relay and it turns off, can see a thermistor near the fan assembly and the cts is registering the correct temperature. Tried replacing the relay, no change. Any Honda techs out there that have dealt with this before? Could use some help.
