Q. Who are the famous classic authors in Germany (the Charles Dickens/Mark Twain/etc.) who have had famous works translated into English? I am trying to learn more about the German culture (and eventually want to read these works in German). Also - I am just as interested in contemporary authors, books that have been translated into English and have been read by a lot of Germans - especially younger ones. Thanks!
